RIDING
OUTSIDE
It
is both safer and more fun to be two when riding out in the
countryside. However, if you go riding on your own, tell someone
where you are going and when you will be back.
If
the horse comes rushing back with an empty saddle, or if neither you
nor the horse come back, the others will know where to start
searching.
Remember
the following
You
must not ride in plantations, on farmland, or close to people’s
houses. Moreover, you must not ride on walking paths, bicycle paths
or electrically lit paths. If you cross a meadow, you need to shut
the gate when
you leave.
In
Traffic
A
horse always needs to keep to the left side of the road. It does not
matter if you ride, drive or lead the horse, riders and coachmen
also have to follow the traffic rules. If several riders cross a
road, then cross it at the same time. If a horse is left alone, it
might panic and run out into the traffic to catch up with its
friends.
We believe every horse,
pony and donkey has the right to be part of a loving family where it will
be cared for and loved to the end of its natural life.
