We have received two unfounded complaints to which we have responded reasonably and fairly. It appears these complaints were the result of suggestions by Clare Hinchcliffe, who we understand deals with legal matter for Hedgeline. Indeed, Clare Hinchcliffe has sent several unsigned emails, or at least someone else has, using her email account, but refused to communicate further to identify themselves.
Be
advised that Hedgeline is not a formally recognised body
incorporate. As such their is no director or other responsible
person where the buck may finally rest. our requests for substantive
reasoning or other explanation has obviously fallen on deaf ears. We came across the
following webpage, which we consider to be nothing less than meddling,
with possibly more nuisance or other harm intended, in typical lobbying
style now synonymous with the Hedgeline group.
Please note that the operators of this site are in no way connected with the Hedgeline organisation, nor do they pretend to be. They are however, following progress of the new legislation and hope to be able to report successes and failures of the system, as new caselaw is made. Our concern is that with Council's in the loop, favours and the like will be introduced in the equation as with the planning system.
Please note that if you are no longer useful to the organisers of Hedgeline, they may advertise your details in such fashion as to seek to embarrass you, or accuse you of imitating them, when in fact you may simply be reporting the facts to a wider audience and there is nothing of any value to imitate. In this event you are likely to receive numerous unsigned emails from person claiming to represent the Hedgline organisation, but refusing to identify the sender. As Hedgeline is neither a company, charity or other bona fide organisation with a written constitution, it will be difficult for you to seek legal redress under the law.
You may of course lobby your MP independently, as some of our group have chosen to do.
The Antisocial Behaviour Act 2003 now incorporates High Hedge legislation at Section 8, most likely this UK law was introduced as a result of the lobbying of Hedgeline and other concerned citizens.
